I grew up a tomboy, learning how to hunt and fix cars. I have three of my own, Janelle, a 2006 graduate of BRHS, Christopher and Elizabeth, who currently attend BRHS. My husband, Mark, retired from the National Guard full time in June, and is enjoying the “real world.” He is a gunsmith and keeps busy at Minot Builders Supply, driving truck. I don’t have a lot of time for deer hunting anymore, but I do like to cross stitch and quilt. I first came to Minot in 1984 to attend MSU. I married in August of 1985 and moved onto the Air Force Base for 5 years. When we were transferred to Harvey, ND, we lived in Martin. After three years we moved back on base for another 5 years. We then transferred to Dickinson. I worked as assistant director for the Catholic School Center for 2 years. I then taught 8th Grade religion at Trinity. In July 2000 we moved back to Minot and were “homeless” until spring of 2001.
