Why write unless you have an audience? This is exactly the question that Creative Writing students asked this semester. After studying the elements of plot, character development, and descriptive language, students wrote children’s stories. Instead of merely sharing our writing with one another, students visited St. Leo’s to read to Irene Howard’s Kindergarten class. Creative Writing students enjoyed interacting with the enthusiastic younger students because it was a perfect opportunity to showcase their hard work.

Please enjoy reading Joey Halseth’s story, “Chuck’s Big Day”
